You will find Access Chiropractic and Wellness located in the Airdrie CO-OP off the Queen Elizabeth Highway (Highway 2 North) taking the first exit going North out of Calgary or the third exit going South from Red Deer (exit is Yankee Valley Boulevard). We have two entrances, one from the outside and from inside the CO-OP. Our sign is visible from the highway and there is plenty of free parking. Just remember, we are located INSIDE the CO-OP itself, not in the plaza where the dentist and vet offices are!

When you enter our clinic from the outside or inside entrance, you will be warmly greeted by our receptionist. Please check in at the front desk and have a seat. An assortment of up to date reading material, information on our bulletin board, and a kids' area are all at your disposal while reception prepares the paperwork before you see one of the doctors or one of the massage therapists.

After removing your shoes, the receptionist will show you to a consultation room where one of the doctors will briefly discuss with you your case and ensure you are at the right place. If your problem does not sound like something we can help you with, you will be referred to the appropriate facility. If you are a candidate for chiropractic care then we wll have you fill out the appropriate paperwork and you will be ready for your first visit!

On your first visit, the doctors will go through a detailed case history, followed by a complete physical exam including postural analysis, spinal range of motion, and an assortment of orthopedic and muscle testing. Treatment for your condition is usually reserved following a detailed and complete report of findings on your second visit. It is important for us on the first visit to determine the source of your problem and ensure treatment is safe and appropriate.

Your report of findings occurs on your second visit. At this time we will discuss the results of your history and physical examination. After reviewing our findings, we will discuss with you the nature of the chiropractic treatment, what you can expect after your first adjustment, as well as additional home instructions such icing and stretching. If on your initial visit x-rays were warranted, the Drs. will have sent you to a local AHC funded x-ray facility. If necessary, the Drs. will provide a request for you to take to the facility to bring back the x-rays and they can review the results of your films.

If the doctors identify muscle findings that suggest therapeutic massage is necessary, or if you elect to have massage right from the start, our registered massage therapists are skilled in several techniques and each have a great deal of experience treating a variety of muscle related problems. You may simply want a relaxation massage after a hard week of work for yourself or a friend or family member. Gift certificates are available and receipts can be printed to claim under private insurance coverage.
